Building Transparent, Accountable and Sustainable Natural Resource Governance in Ghana and Africa
HELP Foundation Africa is committed to promoting transparent, accountable, inclusive, and sustainable governance of natural resources to improve livelihoods, protect ecosystems, and foster equitable economic development.
Natural resources such as forests, fisheries, land, water, minerals, biodiversity, and coastal ecosystems are fundamental to the social and economic well-being of communities. However, weak governance, unsustainable exploitation, illegal resource extraction, environmental degradation, climate change, and limited community participation continue to threaten these valuable assets. HELP Foundation Africa works with governments, communities, civil society organizations, traditional authorities, development partners, academia, and the private sector to strengthen natural resource governance systems that deliver long-term benefits for present and future generations.
Our Goal
To strengthen transparency, accountability, community participation, and inclusive decision-making in the governance of forests, fisheries, land, water, and mineral resources, ensuring their equitable, sustainable, and climate-resilient management for improved livelihoods and national development.
