Human Environment and Livelihood Platform Foundation (HELP FOUNDATION AFRICA) was
founded in 2009 and registered in Ghana as NGO that is Development Oriented Organization.
Our vision is to see a transformed society where everyone is informed and where social justice
and human rights are pillars of human growth and development.
HELP FOUNDATION AFRICA is committed to promoting development initiatives that
contributes to the overall development of Africa through: partnerships, networking, technology
and capacity development. We seek to contribute to society where people live a life of dignity,
realizing their potentials and economic growth. We also promote creative thinking, ethical and
development-oriented leadership development.
HELP FOUNDATION AFRICA’s Youth Volunteer Programme
HELP FOUNDATION AFRICA’s Youth Volunteer Programme is designed to provide mentorship
and leadership coaching for youth below the age of 30years who have graduated from any
tertiary or post-secondary institution. Our volunteer programme is intensive 6 months training,
skills development and community service program that is done through physical and virtual
platforms.
We create physical and online networking and learning platforms to support volunteers learn
from global experts, international organizations and institutions spear-heading global actions.
Volunteer Opportunities
Our volunteer program creates opportunities for volunteers to connect with successful career
experts to interact with them, to be mentored by them and learn from them. The most important
thing about our volunteer programme is that it is designed to promote social networking, team
building and a rewarding experience of community service. The volunteer programme focuses
on young graduates under the age of 30 as important actors for change and improve their
leadership. Our volunteer program promotes knowledge and skills development for the youth
and create opportunities for them to build capacities and make more impact in society. We
recruit, build capacity and motivate volunteers to explore their potential to lay the foundation for
personal and professional successes.
- Gaining New Skills: Whether you are starting a career, looking for work or trying to
improve yourself, our volunteer programme can be a great way to learn and develop the
skills you need, both practically and professional, including but not limited to skills
development in: Leadership, Problem-solving, Organization and planning,
Communication & Interpersonal skills, Relationship Building, Teamwork and Public
Speaking.
By participating in HELP FOUNDATION AFRICA’s community service work with its
partners, volunteers will have opportunities to learn about: Community Development, Entrepreneurship, Conservation, Social Behavioral Change Communication, Aid work, Eco-Tourism, National Resources Governance, Fisheries and Ocean Governance, Blue Economy, Environmental Stewardship and Climate Actions. - Improving Confidence: Sometimes life can knock your confidence, for example not getting a job or needing skills to build your confidence. Our volunteer programme gives volunteers a chance to find their feet and pace, allowing volunteers to build confidence through networking, learning and practical community service.
- Serving: We also provide an opportunity for individuals looking for ways to give back to their communities to serve on community projects and also connect them with organizations that need their time, talents, and passion.
- Additional Benefits: Apart from trainees acquiring new skills other benefits includes certification and mentorship linkages:
- Certificates: HELP FOUNDATION AFRICA and partners will provide certificates for volunteers who will successfully complete the 6months mandatory volunteer programme and participate fully in the physical and virtual training programme.
Cost of Volunteer Programme
Our volunteer program is free and volunteers are not expected to pay for any subscription or
tuition fees.
Volunteer Appraisal
Volunteers will be appraised to assess the new knowledge and skills gained through virtual
examination, team assignments and practical work presentations will be used for the appraisal.
What kind of person are we looking for as a volunteer?
We are looking for youth below the age of 30years who have graduated from any tertiary or
post-secondary institution. Youth who are willing to learn and serve, passionate, reliable, team
players, patient, creative, energetic, positive, willing to help, compassionate and organized and
will be great assets to your team.
